Duties & Responsibilities
The Service Catalogue Manager has overall responsibility for the production and ongoing maintenance of the Service Catalogue. Responsibilities include agreeing with customers on a joint understanding and definition of services to ensure all requirements are reflected.
Tasks
The following tasks are assigned to the role of a Service Catalogue Manager:

Defining and maintaining the overall Service Catalogue structure including tool and interfacing requirements

Developing and publishing templates for service data recording

Collecting or assisting in the provision of documentation of operational services within the Service Catalogue

Collaboration with Service Owners to ensure correctness and completeness of data recorded in the Service Catalogue

Producing a tiered Service Catalogue with customized views for customers/users and internal support staff

Maintaining Service Catalogue data, including the addition of new and removal of retired services
-
Liaising with operation/support units and suppliers on interfaces and dependencies
-
Regular liaison with Service Owners to collect feedback on quality and recommendations for improvements

Ensuring adequate protection and backup of Service Catalogue information
Skills, Experience & Knowledge
To be able to fulfill this role the following range of skills, experience & knowledge is required

Excellent knowledge of service structure

Technical and organizational skills to ensure correct mapping of services in the catalogue

Knowledge about the technical and functional interrelations necessary for service provision

Experience in recognizing technical or functional opportunities and limitations

Communicational skills for GS & IT-internal coordination with roles responsible for services and processes as well as group or section leaders

Meticulous working and ability to both focus on details and keeping the “big picture” in view
Assignment
The role of the Service Catalogue Manager is assigned within the Service Manager team made up of members from GS/SMS and IT/DI-SM. The determination of a deputy is recommended.
